Vollinger (Mrs. V) PK: Daily assignment, 4/15

Teacher: Linda Vollinger (lvolinger@hps.holyoke.ma.us)

PK.RL.1 With prompting and support, ask and answer questions about a story or poem read aloud

Go to Storylineonline.net and listen to Me and My Cat https://youtu.be/eDzISc6o_Xs

Think about these questions…

Who is telling the story?

Why does the cat seem to be acting like the little boy?

Why is the little boy acting like the cat?

At the end of the story, the witch tells the little boy that she had the wrong address. Whose house was she supposed to go to? How do you know?

Do you have a cat? Post a picture or a picture you drew of your cat and I will do the same.

*you can answer all of the questions or choose 2, but if you have a cat or any pet I would love to see a picture or drawing 🙂

PK.CC.3 Understand the relationships between numerals and quantities up to ten

Take your number cards from yesterday. Draw a card and find that many objects to go with the number. Some of my friends can do all of the numbers 0-10. Some of you are more comfortable doing 0-5 and some of you are comfortable doing 0-3. Those of you that are still learning to count can match the numbers that are the same.

Here is a great movement song to shake our sillies out
