Teacher: Monge (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Aside .from school activities I hope everyone has been finding ways to keep busy. Here, in the Monge house, we have been doing a lot of cooking. Yesterday, I made chocolate chip cookies. Even though they were from a bucket and all I had to do was scoop and put in the oven ,they tasted amazing. If you have discovered a new hobby, write it down in your journal. Keeping a journal is such an amazing way to preserve memories. If you have not yet seen, I have posted a 4 square journal in our google classroom, along with a sample of how it can be filled out.
I can’t tell you how excited I am about our zoom conference tomorrow at 9:30 am. I know we will all have a lot to talk about and I am very much looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the article you read about Malala.
I have a new article that I would love for everyone to read. This one is about an American teen who is also an advocate for education. The link to access the article is https://newsela.com/quickjoin/#/A4QR4G. Once there please enter the code, A4QR4G. After you read the article, go ahead and answer the questions and writing prompt. We will be discussing this article during Monday’s Zoom Conference.
I was also thinking that next Friday, 4/10/20, could be game day in our Zoom Conference! To do this, I need each of you to write directions for a game that can be played over the computer. An example could be WAR or Hangman. Your directions should be as specific as possible to ensure all students know how to play. I have included a video for you to watch that reminds us how detailed our instructions need to be. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJvXo_9bRro.
I will post the activity in our google classroom under the assignment tab with the title, My Game Instructions.
As always, please let me know if you have any questions.
