Assignment:

Welcome to our class page everyone!

I’m pumped you chose to come check out this site but because we’ve been working with ClassDojo over the past few weeks, I think it is going to be best to keep working from there. Keep an eye on our class page to make sure that you are up to date on your learning opportunities!

One great spot to start is in Summit! Because we are a Summit Learning school, you always have access to your summit learning account.  Please feel free to log into your Summit Learning account (summitlearning.org) to access work at any time during the school closure. I strongly suggest working through focus areas that have been tricky in the past. I bet you can knock out at least one a week.

In addition to Summit, here are some resources that you can access during your time away from school:

  • Khanacademy.com (Use your holyoke public school email to create an account!  There are awesome videos that you can check out if you get stuck or need help)
  • Bokskids.org is a physical activity program to get your body moving in case you’re feeling restless!
  • Readworks.org – Did you know that working on your reading skills will make you a better mathematician?  It’s true! If you’re looking to really zoom in on reading comprehension, Readworks is going to be a great fit for you!

I will be making work available to you at least twice a week on Dojo so keep an eye out there for some work and maybe some fun activities and riddles. (Inky Pinkies anyone?). I miss you guys and I’m excited to get back in the classroom with you but until then, remember to check Dojo! Feel free to email, text or call if you need any help! I’m around from 8-2 everyday!

-Mr. Caswell
