Howland – Math – Multi-digit Addition and Subtraction – 4/13

Teacher: Howland (ahowland@hps.holyoke.ma.us)

Assignment:

Happy Monday 4th graders! It’s been a grey and rainy day today but I hope all of you are still doing awesome. I have another math assignment. It is similar to the one from last week but be sure to read all of the directions carefully because there are some differences.

Before we’d left school some of you had started coming with me to my room so that you could get some extra practice on some of your math skills. I’m posting this mostly for those students. However, anyone is welcome to complete this work, if you do I’ll give you feedback.

We started to practice Multi-digit addition and subtraction last week. That means adding and subtracting 3 or 4 digit numbers. The assignment I’m linking you today will also give you some extra practice with that. I’m going to give you the same advice as last week: if you have a piece of paper or can print off this graphic organizer then you should rewrite the problem making sure to carefully line them up starting with the ones column all the way to the right. You can also type directly into the graphic organizer if you can’t print it. Please complete this worksheet by clicking on the link and making a copy (click the blue button that says “make a copy”). Please rename the document with your name and make sure you share the copy with me by hitting the share button (in the upper right) and typing in the email address ahowland@hps.holyoke.ma.us.
