This week we are going to practice identifying the author’s purpose by reading books about frogs. The author’s purpose is WHY the author wrote a story.

Writing task:  What is the author’s purpose?  Explain how you know using evidence from the text. Don’t forget to draw a picture to go with your writing.

Independent Reading:  Please read for 20 minutes. You can read a book that you have at  home or you can select one on EPIC.
