Kindergarten At Home Learning
Hello Kindergarten Families! Below you will see an outline of some learning opportunities that you may wish to do with your kindergarten student today. Please remember that these are all just suggestions for activities for families that are looking for them. As you complete activities, PLEASE send us pictures/videos/responses on ClassDojo so we can share them with the class! We miss you and enjoy seeing your messages everyday! Monday April 6, 2020
Today Talk: Today is Monday April 6, 2020
- Talk about what day it is: “Today is___”
- Discuss what day today is, what day tomorrow is, and what day yesterday was.
- Talk about the number of the day and what numbers come before/after.
- Count by 1 from 1-100 and then count by 10 up to 100.
- Identify the numbers 1-20.
Academic Activity: Math Monday! Today you are going to practice ordering your numbers and building some of these numbers with items around your house, both inside and outside! Start with your number cards 1-20 (if you don’t have them, no problem! Write the numbers 1-20 on pieces of paper and cut or rip them apart). Mix up the numbers and put them back into order. Do this 3 times. Choose 3 of the numbers and find something around your house to make a representation of that number. For example, if you choose the number 3, maybe you can find 3 spoons in your kitchen. Maybe for the number 11, you can find 11 sticks outside in your yard. Be creative and send us pictures of your representations!
Enrichment Activity: GoNoodle! In school, we use GoNoodle for brain breaks and to move our bodies! Go to the GoNoodle website, and do a few dances! Some of the kindergarten favorites are Milkshake, Pop-see-ko, and the Addams Family (this is no longer on GoNoodle, but can be found on youtube by looking up “Addams Family GoNoodle). Don’t forget to send pictures and videos of you and your family doing your favorite dance!
Remember to send us pictures on Dojo so we can share your great work with the class! Keep learning and be GREAT today!
