Kids need an outlet to express their emotions. Journaling is a great way to help them initiate emotional expression.
- Notebook or paper
- Marker, pen or pencil
- Have your child decorate and place their name on the cover of a notebook.
- Mention that you will be writing in your journal at the end of the day.
- Encourage the child to write a sentence or two about their emotions for the day.
- You can also have the child draw a picture to represent the written feelings.
