My dear scientists,

Today you will be learning and comparing volcanoes and lava!

Remember that rocks that form from lava are called Igneous Rocks!

Watch the video and DO NOT worry about the experiment part. Watch the video and answer the following questions.

1. Why are some volcanoes cone-shaped and some shield-shaped?

2. If you were traveling and found a volcano, how could you figure out if the volcano makes
felsite or basalt lava?

3. Which volcanoes are more likely to explode–the ones with thick lava or thin lava? Why?
What evidence do you have?

  1. Por que algunos volcanes tienen forma de cono y otros forma de escudo?
  2. Si estas vijando y ves un volcan como pudes saber si hace lava felsite o basalt?
  3. Cuales volcanes son mas propisio a explotar- los que tienen lava fina o lava gruesa? Por que? Que evidencia tienes?

El video es en ingles, si nesecita mirar en google para mirar informacion adelante. Lamentablemente no puedo encontrar un buen video en espanol.
