Rock – The Big Blue Planet

Teacher: Rock (

Good morning Room 2! We have found a fun website for you to use while you are out of school. I have found some great texts I hope you will read. I think you will like this web site, and you can spend a lot of time looking at the cool stuff they have here. To see all this great stuff you just have to go to Kids Discover and sign in. We have created an account for you to use (Thank you Ms. Garcia!):

Username: mauriceadonahue

Password: mauriceadonahue

Read the passage:

The Blue Planet

Write to tell 3 things you learned about the Oceans and the Sea. Explain the difference between the Earth’s oceans and seas. Feel free to read on and learn more about the Earth, this will help our Grade 1 students to build their knowledge about the History of the Earth, which will be the next topic we will study when we return.

Please send any photos of your work, or of you using this great website for our Classroom Dojo Story!

Finally, did you know that while you are home you can use your Lexia as well? That’s right, if you have a computer or a device that lets you access this from home you can try to earn some levels that will help you remain a great reader while we are out of school. If you don’t remember your password or how to log on, just send me a quick note through dojo or my email.  Here are a couple quick reminders:

Go to:

Type in my email:

Your user name is probably your first name and the first letter of your last name. For instance if I was a student mine would be:

A couple students have a username that might be a little different so if you are having trouble you can email me or send me a dojo note.

I can’t wait to see the progress you will make in reading if you remember to use this site every day!

I can’t wait to see you again soon Stay healthy and safe!

Mrs. Rock
