Teacher: Amy Jewitt (ajewitt@hps.holyoke.ma.us)

Assignment:

It’s Thursday! Woo!

Today’s daily art challenge is:

Masks are often used in plays, theater productions, dances and festivals. They can be used as a decoration or as part of a costume. Using a piece of paper or a paper plate, cut out holes for your eyes. Decorate the rest of the mask with any craft materials you may have or by drawing designs and patterns on the mask! Think about what you want to portray – or show – to the viewer. Where do you imagine your mask would be used?
